Monday, 28th December 2009 Nakhlistan cooked 19 pots of food yesterday and distributed it in the following areas: Valhalla Park, Manenberg, Macassar, Hanover Park, Old Age Home, Orphanage (IRFSA) - Vanguard, Parkwood Mosque and Kriefgat. Cash Envelopes were also distributed in the Rylands / Gatesville vicinity. Sunday, 20th December 2009 As part of Nakhlistan's Muharram Programme, Nakhlistan will be cooking 25 pots of food for distribution on the 10th night of Muharram 1431 AH, which co-incides with Sunday 27th December 2009. Traditionally, Muslims fast on this day and the food will be distributed before Maghrieb on the 10th night of Muharram. Tuesday, 1st December 2009 Nakhlistan distributed Food on Eid Day in the following areas: Phoenix Mosque, 3 Mosques in Hanover Park, An Old Age Home in Hanover Park, IRFSA in Heideveld, 2 Mosques in Manenberg, Vrygrond and Macassar.
Thursday, 26th November 2009 Nakhlistan wish all Hujaaj a Hadj Maqbool, Insha-Allah. May the time of Hadj be a time of forgiveness and re-birth so that we can enter the new year with a renewed purpose. Eid Mubarak to Family Friends.
Nakhlistan will be cooking Food for Eid on Thursday Evening and it will be distributed to those less fortunate on Eid Day. We accept your donations in cash or kind. Monday, 23rd November 2009 Nakhlistan has given mustadafin 400kg of rice which will be used to cook food for Eid. Qurbaani (Slaughtering Oxen) on Friday, 27th November 2009 at R800 a share. Please contact Nakhlistan for more information.Nakhlistan will be supplying 5 different prisons with raw ingredients: 100kg meat, rice, 10 pkts. potatoes and 5 pkts. Onions. The prisoners will also be able to have a warm meal on Eid Day.Bogus CollectorIt has been brought to the attention of Nakhlistan that a gentleman in the Strandfontein area, is claiming to be collecting funds on behalf of Nakhlistan. This is not true. He is a bogus collector. Please do not give any money to him. His modus operandi is the following: 1) He steals Nakhlistan calendars from the Mosques 2) He goes door to door handing out this calendar and then asks for donations for Nakhlistan 3) He is a tall gentleman wearing a white thaub and fez 4) He is a bogus collector. Please do not give any money to him. Nakhlistan does not send people door to door for collection of funds. If he comes to your house, notify the authorities immediately.
