About Us

Nakhlistan is a non-profit Organization ( N. P. O. 030-581 ) that has been established since 1984 and was founded by the Late Dawood Parker, Shaikh Sa'dullah Khan, Shukoor Mowzer and a few friends and started by cooking TWO POTS of food with the aim to spread the joy and happiness experienced by Muslims on the occasion of EID to the needy and destitute. This gives meaning to the month-long intensive spiritual training undertaken by Muslims.

Our name, Nakhlistan, in Persian means Oasis. It is a place from which sustenance is received after enduring a journery filled with lessons of sacrifice and perseverance for the pleasure of Allah. On the day of EID-UL-FITR, we hope to provide those less fortunate with some form of sustenance hoping to bring some relief to their strife. All funds raised are used to prepare food that's distributed on Eid day to Masajids, Madaris, Prisons & Old Age Homes.
